Allion Labs Authorized as VidiPath Test Lab

DLNA (Digital Living Network Alliance) has officially announced that Allion Labs. Inc. (Allion Taiwan) is an Independent Certification Vendor (ICV) for VidiPath branded products. From now on, Allion Labs, Inc. can provide VidiPath compliance testing, pre-compliance validation, and technical consultation.

Starting now, Allion is Sigma Designs designated test lab for Z-Wave Certification pre-test service. The purpose is to provide a complete and detailed test evaluation to assist Sigma Designs’ vendors explore any potential product issues before the actual certification testing which can effectively accelerate the time-to-market. 


HDMI 2.0 Taipei Plugfest: Product Availability and Performance

Since many of our customers have concerns about HDMI 2.0 certification, Allion hosted the 2014 HDMI Plugfest in Taipei, which allowed manufactures to pre-test HDMI 2.0 products and thereby become familiar with the test procedures and constraints. During the event, we observed typical product issues, such as HDMI 2.0 sink devices with uneven and unequal line lengths in the 4:2:0 colorimetric testing. HDMI 2.0 Reception IC testing showed a 112 ps intra-pair signal delay, which can cause signal noise and a loss of video. VESA DisplayPort Workshop @ Taipei

“VESA DisplayPort Workshops”, jointly held by VESA and Allion at Taipei, on 13 Nov. 2014 had come to a wonderful ending. Through one-day seminar event, the guests directly had the face-to-face communication with VESA and Allion DisplayPort expert to get a grip on the overview and test specification of DisplayPort 1.3, and DisplayPort Alternate Mode on USB Type-C. 2014 SDA Global Workshop @Taipei

Allion recently held 2014 SDA Global Workshop Taipei with SD Association on 1st Oct. 2014. At the workshop, SDA announced new technology, such as UHS-II , smartSD+HCE (Host-based Card Emulation), iSDIO, and TransferJet with higher speed, greater capacity, and multi-functionality. This workshop spotlighted updated SD specifications, applications and current market trends. Among available content storage options, SD card is the most dominant removable storage solution in the world.

- Profile Tuning Suite (PTS) 6.0.1 is released.
- New TPG (Test Plan Generator) is released for TCRL (Test Cast Reference List) 2014-2 and Core 4.2.

Update the status of CCX Lite programs

- This update included work on existing issues and fixes in the Foundation and Voice levels. Cisco will release new script in the Management Service level.

VESA Policy/Requirement/News Updated

- Link Layer Extension Set 1 compliance testing is required to perform by authorized test centers and self-test labs from January, 15, 20015.
