Allion Taiwan Officially Achieves MHL HDCP 2.2 and MHL 3.2 Sink Test Certification, Authorized to Provide Relevant Test Certification Programs

After being certified by Digital Content Protection LLC (DCP) as an HDMI HDCP 2.2 Authorized Test Center (ATC) in September 2014, Allion Taiwan (Allion Labs, Inc.) has recently also been certified by DCP as an MHL HDCP 2.2 ATC. This means that Allion Taiwan can now offer the latest HDCP conformance testing and technical advice for both HDMI and MHL interfaces. The HDCP 2.2 standard prevents illegal copying of digital audio and video content as it travels between source and sink devices.




Allion Becomes World’s First Laboratory to Provide Digital Terrestrial TV Broadcast Receiver Testing for the Malaysian Market

As a leading global product validation and engineering services company, Allion Labs, Inc. (Allion) has just recently received official approval from the Standards and Industrial Research Institute of Malaysia (SIRIM) to become the world’s first Digital Terrestrial Television Broadcast Service Receiver Specification test facility outside of Malaysia. In this new role, Allion can now assist local manufacturers obtain mandatory certifications for the import of DTV devices to Malaysia.




Allion Taiwan, Allion Japan and Allion Shanghai become Authorized Test Labs for USB 3.0 Embedded Host Testing

USB Implementers Forum (USB-IF) has officially announced that Allion Labs, Inc. (Allion Taiwan), Allion Japan Inc. (Allion Japan) and Allion Shanghai, Inc. (Allion Shanghai) are now authorized to conduct USB 3.0 compliance testing of embedded host devices, such as televisions, wireless access points, and MFPs (Multi-Functional Printers). These three labs can also provide pre-compliance testing and technical consultation services.



Allion Taiwan and Allion Japan Authorized as Continua Test Labs

Continua Health Alliance (Continua) has officially announced that both Allion Labs, Inc. (Allion Taiwan) and Allion Japan Inc. (Allion Japan) are accredited as Continua Test Labs, authorized to provide test certification programs and consulting services for personal connected healthcare devices, as part of the Continua Certification program. Both Allion Taiwan and Allion Japan also have recognized Continua Certification Experts (CCE) in place, to support the testing and certification of Continua personal connected health technologies.



Computex Taipei 2015

Computex Taipei 2015 was successfully held from June 2 - 6. As a core member of SSDA, this year, Allion exhibited our clients’ products from Enterprise SSDs, eMMCs, UHS-II SDs, USB Pen Drives to NVMe SSDs. Besides this activity, we also displayed test reports to demonstrate our sophisticated test plans and promote our clients’ products. Visitors learned all about our total test solutions for SSD vendors.

 

Smart Home Technical Seminar with Institute for Information Industry (III)

Since Smart Homes are a growing segment of the Internet of Things (IoT), Allion recently sponsored a Smart Home Technical Seminar held by the Institute for Information Industry Institute (III) in Taiwan. Allion’s seasoned technical assistant manager, David Tung, delivered a “Smart Home Devices Certification & Validation Introduction” presentation. The industrial design challenge is not limited to cloud service providers and end user devices, but extends to the holistic integration of these parts to create usable experiences for homeowners.

 

Allion Japan 2015 Continua Seminar

Allion Japan held a seminar on May 27 in Tokyo to introduce the Continua standard. We were proud to have Mr. Michael Kirwan, Technical Operations Director of the Personal Connected Health Alliance (PCHA) as our guest speaker. Allion’s Continua Certification Expert (CCE) also explained testing and certification programs that apply to Continua personal connected health technologies, current health care technologies, and future trends. As a Continua Test Lab accredited by the Continua Health Alliance, Allion will maintain a close relationship with the Continua Health Alliance and provide timely updates to our clients.
